Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for Fred Atkins Park.
Frederick Atkins was a Hopkinsville native and served on Hopkinsville’s City Council from 1999 to 2012 representing Ward 1. In May, City Council approved renaming the Second Street Park to honor Atkins.
The park is located at 745 East 2nd Street and the ceremony is set for noon on September 16.
