There’s officially a new way to connect with and stay up-to-date with the City of Hopkinsville, with the Hoptown311 mobile app launching on Monday.
But on Thursday, community members got a sneak peak of the new application, which is designed to make reporting concerns and staying informed easier than ever for community members. Mayor J.R. Knight thanked their IT and technology departments, along with City Public Information Officer Amanda Brunt for the work they’ve put into this app, saying it will help them better serve their community.
Brunt says citizens can download the app through the App Store and Google Play store on their phones, or find a QR code throughout City buildings. After creating an account, she says it will help keep citizens in the know, and they can also submit concerns and watch those reports get addressed with real-time updates.
You can also make reports anonymously.
The city would also be able to send out need to know information to citizens, such as road closures or high-water reports, to help keep folks safe. You can make online payments, check out the community calendar and much more—the Hoptown311 app is available for download on September 1.
