University Heights Academy’s young volleyball team may have grown up just a bit on Saturday at the West Kentucky Smackdown Volleyball Tournament at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex.
UHA went 2-3 on the day with wins over Garrard County (27-25, 25-22) and Hopkinsville (25-21, 25-17). The Lady Blazers suffered losses to Owensboro Catholic (25-14, 25-11), Crittenden County (25-17, 25-13), and Calloway County (25-15 25-14).
The Lady Blazers will jump back into action Tuesday night in a District 8 match at Fort Campbell.
