Nickolas Lack was arrested in August 2022 in relation to a collision on Interstate 24 and now his case is set to go to trial in September.
Lack was traveling westbound on I-24 in a construction zone and reportedly struck a pickup truck parked in the emergency lane. The collision ejected an occupant from the truck and Lack had to extricated from his car.
Lack was charged with first-degree assault, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
In Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday, Lack’s defense attorney Jacob Mathis and Christian County Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Mark Gilbert shared that they are prepared for trial to start on September 4.
The trial is set to take two days.
