Tigers, Colonels topple Trigg County in tri-team match

The Hopkinsville Tigers golf team picked up a win over Christian County and Trigg County in a tri-team match Monday afternoon in Cadiz.

Hoptown’s Ryan Martin had one of his better rounds of the season as he took home medalist honors with a 39 through nine holes.

Isaiah Wood also had an impressive round as he shot a 41 for second place on the day.

The Tigers’ Sam Riggs had a 47 and JB Payne carded a 53. Also playing for the Tigers were Landon Holeman, who had a 53 and Aiden Riley, who had a 60.

Hoptown had a team score of 180.

Christian County was second with a team score of 204. The Colonels were led by Chris Adcock’s 45. He tied with Trigg’s Ethan Curling for third place.

The Colonels’ Drew Fincham had a 46.

Reed Ezell (53) and Jayden McMillian (60) also played for the Colonels.

The Tigers and Colonels are scheduled to play in a tri-team match Tuesday afternoon against University Heights Academy at Western Hills Golf Course.
