The Hopkinsville Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Thursday afternoon that badly damaged the vehicle.
According to the fire department, crews responded around 2:10 p.m. for reports of a vehicle fire and were able to quickly get the blaze extinguished. The vehicle had been pulling a trailer that was used as a food truck.
A generator is the likely culprit that ignited in the bed of the truck. No one was injured in the fire.
Firefighters remind the public to always ensure that if a generator is in use, it should be at least ten feet away from any combustibles and have plenty of room to vent.
