The Pennyrile RC&D, along with Focus 21st Century and numerous other partner agencies, will be host to a public forum discussing the state of healthcare in Christian County.
This two-hour event will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on September 9 in the Fellowship Hall of Virginia Street Baptist Church. Attendees will be able to hear discussions and information about the state of health in the county, when and why to see a doctor, eye doctor and a dentist, food insecurity, transportation barriers, the importance of remaining physically active and the importance of Medicare and Medicaid in this community.
There will be a panel made up of eight individuals that bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, including Dr. Chester Crump, Dr. Tresa Croney White, CFO Mark Laramee, Nurse Manager Janice Johnson, Maternity Team Leader Ciera Ward—all with Jennie Stuart Health—along with Christian County Health Department Public Information Officer Cloe Rager, Dr. John Heltsley and Jill Collins, the Director of the Agency on Aging and Independent Living with the Pennyrile Area Development District.
There will also be a question and answer period held, and refreshments will be provided before 6 p.m.
