Intersection of U.S. 68 and College Street in Auburn to close for long-term improvement project

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be instating a long-term closure for the intersection of U.S. 68 and KY 103 in Logan County to make way for improvements.

According to a news release, the project to improve an intersection that is widely considered to be hazardous at U.S. 68-Main Street and KY 103-College Street in Auburn is set to begin Monday—the closure is expected to last 30 days as work is conducted.

The plan is to realign and widen the intersection along with some drainage improvements. There will also be some curb, gutter and sidewalk work.  The entirety of the project is hoped to be complete by November.

Trucks and other large vehicles should not approach the area or other internal side streets due to lack of space for large vehicles. The recommended route for the detour is KY 73, U.S. 68 and KY 100.
