Hopkinsville Police are investigating after a woman was reportedly assaulted and suffered injuries on Friday.
According to a report, the incident occurred outside of a residence on Beech Street and the victim stated that she was assaulted with a dangerous instrument which resulted in injuries to her head.
The suspect is unknown and officers are investigating the incident as second-degree assault.
