The Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s is fast approaching in September, but before that, you can help support the cause by taking part in a fundraiser hosted by Pennyroyal Hospice.
Partnering with Four Seasons Catering, you can purchase a box lunch through Pennyroyal Hospice for $12 that will then be prepared and ready to eat on July 25—but the deadline to get your orders in is Friday, so don’t miss out. Cindy Hancock with both Hospice and the Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s says you can choose from several lunch options, and proceeds raised will go to support their ongoing efforts to find a cure for Alzheimer’s.
You can place your order by calling Selina Pyle at 270-348-6744, and then you can pick up your lunch on July 25 at 220 Burley Avenue.
Four Seasons will deliver to a local business if six or more orders are placed—pick up will be between 11:15 a.m. and 12 p.m. that day.
As for the Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s itself, its set to take place on September 27, starting at 9 a.m. at the Christian County Justice Center, and Hancock says we all know someone who has been affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia, and it’s their hope to one day find a cure, and one day have a survivor.
There’s still time to sign up for a team, just head online to act.alz.org/Hopkinsville, where you can also donate to the cause.
