Brandon Hunt of Herndon has been elected to serve on the National Corn Growers Association Board of Directors.
Hunt’s election marks a historic milestone, as he’ll be the first Kentucky farmer to serve on the national board. A longtime leader and advocate for Kentucky agriculture, Hunt brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the board, with the commitment to advance the interests of corn growers in the Commonwealth.
In a news release, Hunt says, “It’s an honor to represent Kentucky corn farmers on the national stage. I’m committed to working collaboratively with growers across the country to protect our long-term profitability, push for smart innovation, and ensure farmers’ perspectives stay at the heart of national policy decisions.”
Hunt and his family operate a multi-generational row crop farm that raises corn, wheat, soybeans, tobacco, and hemp. His three-year term begins in October, and Hunt says he’s focused on advocating for policies that support long-term profitability and sustainability for corn growers, promoting research to tackle industry challenges, and strengthening communication and collaboration to ensure grassroots voices are heard at the national level.
