Sharp plays meaningful minutes in Mavericks’ loss

Former Hopkinsville High School basketball player Jamarion Sharp continues to try and make the Dallas Mavericks’ roster for the 2025-26 season.

The 7-foot-5 second year NBA player had three rebounds, a steal and a block in 16 minutes of play during the Mavs’ 76-69 summer league loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday in Las Vegas.

The Mavericks are scheduled to play the Charlotte Hornets today.

Top pick Cooper Flagg had 31 points in the Mavs’ Saturday setback.  Dallas is reportedly shutting down Flagg for the remainder of Summer League action.
