There will be an extended closure for Cerulean Road in Cadiz at the intersection of Jefferson Street starting next week to allow for the realignment and reconstruction of the intersection.
According to a news release, a portion of Cerulean Road between KY 139 and Line Street, which will allow for the reconstruction of the KY 139 and KY 124 intersection. The work is expected to take about six weeks, weather permitting and this phase of the project should not impact traffic on Jefferson Street.
The project is part of the state’s Six-Year Highway Plan and represents an investment of $872,000. Work includes roadway excavation, intersection realignment and reconstruction, storm water installation and both asphalt and concrete paving.
Jim Smith Contracting is the primary contractor for the project, which is expected to be completed in its entirety by November 15.
