Canadian-based company E. Hofmann Packaging is preparing to establish its first ever production facility in the United States and it will be located in Hopkins County.
At Thursday’s Team Kentucky Update, Governor Andy Beshear spotlighted the new development coming to Hopkins County and said this project is good news because it’s coming to an area that is still recovering from the 2021 tornadoes.
Beshear says the facility comes with a $43 million investment and is set to create 164 jobs. Construction of the 100,000 square foot facility is set to be completed in 2026.
Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton says they are thrilled to welcome E. Hofmann Packaging’s expansion to Madisonville and the project marks a significant milestone in their ongoing economic growth and work toward creating more opportunities for local families. Hopkins County Judge Executive Jack Whitfield says the county is extremely excited to have a new manufacturer that will economically benefit the region.
