The Christian County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died following a crash on Pembroke Road Friday afternoon.
The two-vehicle collision happened at approximately 3:15 p.m. near Jerry’s BBQ Shack between a truck and an SUV. Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Lt. Nathan Stewart tells WHOP News that a male victim in his 80’s was rushed to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with severe injuries and CPR in progress.
He would later succumb to his injuries at the hospital, and Deputy Coroner Christy Adams has identified the victim as 89-year-old James Mason of Hopkinsville.
The driver of the truck was not injured, and the Christian County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash.
