One was arrested and another badly injured during an assault at El Bracero in Madisonville Sunday.
According to the Madisonville Police Department, officers were called to the restaurant just after noon on Father’s Day for reports that a male victim was being assaulted in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim—Roger McCarty—unresponsive on the ground with a head wound.
First aid and CPR was administered by the Madisonville Fire Department at the scene, and Rogers was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition with serious head injuries.
Initial reports had indicated there was a knife involve, but investigation determined that was false. The suspect, Darren Dublin, was located a few blocks away from the restaurant and taken into custody.
He is charged with first-degree assault.
