Indiana sweeps Kentucky All-Stars again

The Indiana All-Stars defeated the Kentucky All-Stars 98-89 Friday night in Lexington.

University of Kentucky incoming freshman Malachi Moreno was named Most Valuable Player, despite Indiana winning the game. Moreno had 22 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and three steals.

On Saturday night, Indiana completed the sweep with a 106-92 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. It was the 45th win in the last 52 games for Indiana in the series.

Kentucky is coached by former Hopkinsville High School girls’ coach D.G. Sherrill, of Bowling Green High School. Terry Hayes, a former head boys’ coach at Hopkinsville High School and University Heights Academy, serves as an assistant coach on the staff.

Meanwhile, the Kentucky Girls’ All-Stars swept Indiana winning the Friday night game in Lexington, 84-73, and the Saturday night game in Indianapolis, 106-103, in double overtime.
