A 15-year-old was shot on North McPherson Avenue in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.
It happened at approximately 1:45 p.m. in the 100 block of North McPherson when the teen sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers tells WHOP News says the male victim was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt Pediatrics in Nashville for treatment.
His injuries were critical, but believed to be non-life-threatening.
The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating the incident.
