Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Amber Williams and 47-year-old Brandon Lee both of Hopkinsville for drug trafficking following a welfare check on Sunday.
According to a report, deputies did a welfare check on a vehicle located at the Pilot Gas Station on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Law enforcement made contact with the pair and found that Williams reportedly had an active criminal summons.
Deputies then searched the vehicle and reportedly found an open alcoholic beverage and methamphetamine in multiple locations. A bag of methamphetamine was allegedly found in Williams’ bag and around 24.5 grams of the controlled substance was found in the glove box.
Williams was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Lee was charged with first-and-second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a car.
