Hopkinsville High School football coach Dustin Lopez announced via Twitter over the weekend that 20 high school football teams are expected to compete in the Best of the West 7-on-7 tournament this summer at the Stadium of Champions.
In addition to Hopkinsville and Christian County, area teams attending include Trigg County, Fort Campbell, Madisonville-North Hopkins, Logan County, Clarksville Northeast and Kenwood.
Murray, McCracken County, Paducah Tilghman, Franklin County, Calloway County, Webster County, Hart County, Macon Co., Tenn., Gibson Southern, Ind., Pearl Cohn (Tenn.), Union County, and Warren Central also are scheduled to attend.
Action will begin Friday, July 11 with pool play games and wrap up Saturday, July 12 with a double-elimination tournament.
