Three of the sixteen student-athletes from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky chosen for the 2025-26 KHSAA Student Advisory Group are from the Christian County Public Schools.
A news release from the KHSAA said today that Hopkinsville High School has two of three students. Cross-country and track athlete Tyson Cavinder and Tennis player Chiani Leak were selected for the advisory group.
Christian County’s Kaidence Atwell, who plays volleyball for the Lady Colonels, also was picked for the group.
The leaders will represent the KHSAA at the NFHS National Student Leadership Summit on July 14-17 in Indianapolis.
The group will also assist in the planning and execution of the KHSAA HYPE Student Leadership Conferences scheduled for Sept. 29-30 at the Central Bank Center in Lexington.
The group attending the NSLS will split into groups and work through topical discussions on relevant and contemporary issues. The free program is designed to help students hone their leadership abilities and teach them how to effectively influence and lead their peers in a positive manner.
