Finding something to do in the afternoon after school isn’t a problem for Hopkinsville High School twin sisters Kaley and Evelyn Bangart.

The Lady Tigers’ sophomores combine to play five total sports. Kaley Bangart plays volleyball and swims. Evelyn participates in cross country, swimming, and tennis.

It’s enough to keep their parents’ refrigerator calendar full. Marty Bangart, the father of the twins, says it’s a full-time job getting the athletes to their events daily.

The girls’ mother, Kim, says the family has to depend on help from friends, family, and others as they sometimes go in opposite directions.

Currently, Evelyn is playing tennis most afternoons and soon Kaley will start volleyball conditioning.

Both sisters are competitive, but not with each other. They do offer each other support after events.

Kaley and Evelyn also stated what keeps their relationship so strong is by supporting each other, they make it a routine to attend each sporting event.

With Kaley and Evelyn both playing different sports, occasionally they would like to spend more time together. Kaley pushed Evelyn toward tennis with no luck. And Evelyn would like to see Kaley on the cross country courses.

Even though, they aren’t participating in the same sport often, they say they provide each other with plenty of motivation.

Both girls say playing multiple sports is worth it and recommend to other athletes to play more than one sport.

Meanwhile, Marty Bangart said the girls are playing sports they can play the rest of their lives.
