One killed, one in custody in Clarksville stabbing

One person is in custody and another was killed after an argument became violent at a construction site in Clarksville Tuesday morning.

According to the Clarksville Police Department, officers were called to the site in the 1600 block of Old Russellville Pike, for reports that an assault had occurred between two workers who had been in an argument. That argument became physical, and one of the people involved as stabbed. 

The suspect, 24-year-old Cristian Noe Moreno-Hernandez of Springfield, Tennessee, was still on scene when officers arrived and he was taken into custody. The victim was transported to Tennova Healthcare, where he would later be pronounced deceased.

Moreno-Hernandez is charged with criminal homicide and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail.
