Lady Colonels close out year with basketball banquet

The Christian County High School girls’ basketball team held its season ending banquet Sunday night at the school’s cafeteria.

Senior Ne’Vaeh Day took home the Leading Scorer, Leading Rebounder, Most Steals, and Quick Hand Award. Day finished her career with 1,250 points and more than 1,000 rebounds. She averaged 16.1 points and 11 rebounds this season. She also led the team with 80 steals and had 228 deflections.

Junior Anaysia Bagwell also earned the Leading Scorer award after averaging 16.1 points per game and the Most Assists Award after she turned in 71 assists this season.

Carliah Hobson won the Charge Award.

Day, Daniya Bradley, Lazarie Daniel, Xiona Reid, Amari Northington, and DEbony Anderson picked up Senior Awards.

Daniel was recognized for having more than 500 career rebounds.
