Cory Trice Jr. picks up Ed Block Courage Award

Former Christian County High School football star Cory Trice Jr., was honored with the Ed Block Courage Award in Baltimore over the weekend.

According to a Christian County Public Schools Facebook post, Trice was chosen by his teammates for the award, which recognizes an NFL player from each team for their courage, leadership, and sportsmanship.

After graduating from Christian County High School in 2018, Trice played for the University of Purdue from 2018-2022. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, in the 2023 NFL Draft but suffered a torn ACL in the preseason and missed the 2023 season.

He came back in the 2024 season and had an interception against the Denver Broncos. He had another stint on the injured reserve but returned in December and finished the season with seven tackles, a pass break up, and an interception.
