More Fort Campbell soldiers are heading to the southern border, in support of the current mission of U.S. Northern Command’s mission.
According to a news release, roughly 300 soldiers with the 101st Division Sustainment Brigade, Airborne Division Air Assault will integrate with military forces that are already along the border, and from there work with the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection.
They’ll be based within three locations, including two bases in Texas and one in Arizona.
Colonel Josh Porter says, “The Soldiers of the 101st Division Sustainment Brigade are always ready to answer the call, and this mission is no different. Their expertise in logistics and support operations will be critical in ensuring the success of border security efforts. I have full confidence in their professionalism, dedication, and ability to execute this mission with the highest standards of excellence in service to the American people.”
