Hopkinsville Police arrested 30-year-old Jimmy Wells of Hopkinsville after he reportedly assaulted two victims and led law enforcement on a pursuit on Sunday.
According to a report, a caller reported that Wells assaulted her and her mother before leaving the residence in a car. Officers reportedly saw Wells driving down Canton Street and attempted to pull him over, but instead of stopping he took off.
Wells reportedly fled back to his residence where officers apprehended him. Officers then made contact with the caller who said that Walls caused damage inside of the residence with a baton before punching her in the face leaving a visible mark.
Wells is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, fourth-degree assault, reckless driving, second-degree disorderly conduct, improper turning and disregarding a stop sign.
