The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a person was shot in Nortonville Friday.
According to a news release, deputies responded to reports of a disturbance on Blanche Avenue in Nortonville, after a reported argument between 48-year-old Christopher Almon and 45-year-old Calvin Long turned violent.
During the incident, Almon sustained a gunshot wound to his hip and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while Long reportedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Long is sought in connection to the assault and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department at 270-821-5661.
