University Heights Academy saw its five-game winning streak come to an end with a 67-52 loss to Owensboro Catholic Friday night in a boys’ high school basketball game at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
UHA led 31-29 at halftime as Tylin George and Elijah Walton combined to score 20 points for the Blazers.
The Aces turned up the defensive pressure in the second half, outscoring UHA 21-11 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
George led UHA with 24 points and Walton added 12.
The Blazers complete their regular season with a 9-11 record. UHA will play Christian County in the second semifinal game of the Boys’ District 8 Basketball Tournament Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
The Aces improved to 17-9 on the season.
