Boys and Girls Club to host Teen Center open house

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Boys and Girls Club is inviting teens and their parents to an open house for the club’s Teen Center.

In September of 2024, the club cut the ribbon on the expanded Teen Center which now includes the FabLab, an eSports arena and a coffee shop. The FabLab includes 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking equipment, a screen printer, audio and video production equipment, a podcast studio and graphic design tools.

Club Executive Director Terrence Davis says the Teen Center is a great opportunity for teens to have a safe place to go after school while learning career skills that will help them have a great future.

Attendees will also learn about the Tween Center, an upcoming program area for sixth and seventh graders. Construction on the Tween Center is expected to begin this summer.

Davis says the Tween Center will provide a space for younger middle school age kids that are too young for the Teen Center.

The open house is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 15 at the club and will be an opportunity for families to tour the Teen Center, learn about club programs and meet club staff.
