The Hopkinsville Tigers traveled to Evansville on Saturday and fell to Castle 73-49 in a boys’ high school basketball game.
Cold shooting and a tough Castle defense limited the Hopkinsville offense. The Tigers trailed 16-7 after one quarter and 33-21 at halftime.
Castle blew the game open in the third quarter, pushing its advantage to 59-36.
James Bradley Jr. led Hoptown with 12 points and six rebounds. Jonovan Leavell had 10 points.
The Tigers are now 6-12 and will play host to Logan County tonight. Airtime for tonight’s game is 7:15 p.m. on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM WHOP.
