Officers from the Murray Police Department arrested 45-year-old Phillip Doughty of Murray for sexual assault on Thursday.
According to a report, the department received information concerning a sexual offense and following an investigation Doughty was arrested and lodged at the Calloway County Jail.
Doughty was charged with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse.
