The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons improved to 2-0 on the season and rolled past host Hopkinsville 70-49 in a girls’ high school basketball game Thursday night.
The Lady Maroons led 18-10 after one quarter, but outscored Hoptown 20-7 in the second quarter to put the game out of reach.
Alecia Davis led the Lady Tigers (1-1) with 15 points and Toria Sharber added 13. Shanti Wilson provided 11 for Hoptown, which returns to action tonight against Lyon County at Calloway County.
