Webster County held visiting Heritage Christian Academy to 16 points in the second half and rolled to a 79-35 high school basketball victory Tuesday night.
HCA was within 26-19 at one point, but the Trojans led 40-19 at that halftime break.
Webster (1-0) outscored the Warriors 33-7 in the third quarter and pushed its lead to 73-26 entering the final quarter.
HCA (0-1) was led by senior guard Jason Leek’s 21 points.
The Warriors return to action this weekend in the KCAC State Tournament.
