Former University Heights Academy basketball player KyKy Tandy scored his 1,000th career point over the weekend for Florida Atlantic.
The school had in its notes following the Owls’ loss to Florida Gulf Coast that Tandy, a graduate player, had reached the scoring milestone.
Tandy started his career at Xavier University and played well his first two seasons. During his junior season, Tandy suffered a season-ending injury and was redshirted. The following season, he was injured and missed the last 10 games of the season.
The former Blazer transferred to Jacksonville State for his senior season and led the Conference USA in scoring before he left for Florida Atlantic.
