Rain chances to start the week before big cool down in the temperatures

Our dry again, wet again weather pattern continues this week, with several chances for rain and then a big drop in temperatures in the later half of the week.

The best chance for rain will be Monday night into Tuesday morning, but Meteorologist Derrick Snyder with the National Weather Service in Paducah says the rain chances will linger through the mid-week before starting to dry out.

On Thursday, get ready for a chill as the coldest temperatures so far this season are set to move into the region, with wind chills possibly getting it down into the 20’s at night—Snyder says a freeze is not out of the question.

That cold front will bring cool temperatures and some blustery winds with it, but those will hopefully move out fairly quickly.

The National Weather Service Paducah Office has also been calculating the long-range outlooks, with Snyder saying right now in the days between now and December 1, it’s looking like most the area will receive rain of some type and temperatures should be fairly seasonal. Luckily, it’s not looking like there’s any snow, sleet or severe storms in the forecast for our area at this time.
