Heritage Christian Academy will be playing the biggest game in school history tonight as the Lady Warriors will play host to 13th-ranked Bowling Green in the first round of the KHSAA State Volleyball Tournament.
The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. and HCA coach Grace Stewart said she and her team are excited to be representing Region 2 in the tournament.
Bowling Green enters as the Region 4 champion and is 33-6 on the season. The Lady Purples have won nine straight matches. Their last loss came to Spanish Fort, Ala. Their last loss to a Kentucky school was Sept. 21 at McCracken County.
HCA enters the game on an 11-match winning streak and has a record of 24-5.
The winner of tonight’s match will advance to the quarterfinals Friday at George Rogers Clark High School and will meet the winner of the No. 8-ranked Louisville Mercy-No. 12-ranked North Oldham match.
Tonight’s match is a sell out and no tickets will be sold at the door.
