The Hopkinsville Tigers entered their contest with Logan Co. needing a win to lockup a playoff spot in the upcoming post-season. The Tigers were also looking to end a 5-game losing streak to the Cougars.
The two teams played to a scoreless first half of play. Hopkinsville scored 1st in the 3rd quarter of play on 17-yard run by quarterback Aiden King. The PAT was no good. Logan Co. answered at the 5:05 mark of the 3rd quarter on a 3-yard run by Cooper Parker. After the Caiden Kirby PAT the Cougars led 7-6. Hopkinsville would reclaim the lead 12-7 after a 13-yard touchdown run by quarterback Aiden King, his second touchdown of the night. The Tigers would go up 20-7 with 2:10 to play in the game on a 1-yard run by James Bradley. The Cougars would get within 7 with :42 seconds to play after backup quarterback Luke Rogers connected with Brady Hinton for 37-yard score to make it 20-13 Hopkinsville on top. The Cougars would try the onside kick but the Tigers would recover and run out the clock for the win.
James Bradley led the Tigers in rushing with 129-yards on 18 carries, while Aiden King had 54-yards on the ground. He threw for 58-yards on 7 of 16 passing.
