McAlister’s Deli officially opens with ribbon cutting

After much anticipation, which included a line wrapped around the building Monday morning, McAlister’s Deli officially cut the ribbon and opened for business.

The first 100 people in line received a free sub sandwich, once a week for the next year, and some folks took that seriously, showing up to wait in line at 4 a.m. CEO of Southern Rock Restaurants, Max Piet, was thrilled with the turnout and says this location has been a longtime coming, and they’re excited to open their 159th store in Hopkinsville.

McAlister’s is located in the building that once housed Pizza Hut in front of Lowe’s on Fort Campbell Boulevard, but nothing about it resembles that on the inside.  It has been completely redone, along with a large patio for outside seating, and Hopkinsville High School’s Jazz Band helped welcome in guests Monday.

Piet says residents they’ve spoken too have expressed happiness that the building is no longer sitting empty and has brought something new to Hopkinsville.

Hopkinsville McAlister’s offers various ways for guests to dine, including window-side pickup, dine-in with outdoor seating, pickup station, delivery, and catering. The restaurant will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m.
