Grand Jury issues indictments for endangerment, fleeing related crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments on Friday for wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police and assault-related crimes.

Henry Burton, age 53 of Hopkinsville, was indicted on multiple charges after he reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit while he was under the influence on August 22. Burton is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a vehicle under the influence, unauthorized use of a car, third-degree terroristic threatening and other lesser charges.

Detorrion Ware, age 24 of Hopkinsville, was indicted on multiple charges after he reportedly fled from law enforcement when they attempted to stop him for speeding on August 4. Ware is charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and other lesser charges.

Heather Ballard, age 36 of Hopkinsville, was indicted on multiple charges after she led law enforcement on a pursuit on August 15 that ended on the Pennyrile Parkway when she collided with two Christian County Sheriff’s Office vehicles. Ballard is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, four counts of first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of third-degree assault against a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and other traffic violations.

Michael McGregor, age 39 of Hopkinsville, was indicted for first-degree assault after he reportedly stabbed a male victim during an altercation on August 15. The victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Austin King, age 31 of Cadiz, was indicted on multiple charges after law enforcement found him to be in possession of illegal controlled substances following a traffic stop on August 14. King is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of synthetic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and other lesser charges.
