A woman was flown to a Nashville hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Newstead Road Wednesday morning.
According to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Rogers, it happened near the two-mile-marker of Newstead Road around 11 a.m. when a vehicle went off the roadway for an unknown reason and hit an embankment.
The 72-year-old female patient had a head injury, along with an obvious fracture to the lower leg. She was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
