The Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Golf Tournaments will begin with the Section 1 tournaments Tuesday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
The girls’ tournament begins on Tuesday at 8 a.m. with several local players participating.
Hopkinsville High School’s Cate Blane, who was sixth in last week’s Region 2 tournament in Owensboro, is scheduled to tee off at 8:45 a.m. from the first tee.
University Heights Academy’s Conlee Lindsey, who finished third at the Region 2 tournament last week, is scheduled to tee off at 9:03 a.m. from No. 1 and UHA’s Campbell Lindsey is scheduled to begin her round at 8 a.m. on the 10th tee.
The boys’ tournament is scheduled to be played Wednesday beginning at 8 a.m.
Hopkinsville High School’s Wade Foster is the lone Hopkinsville representative in the field. Hoptown coach Edwin White said Foster’s tee time had not been set as of Sunday afternoon.
The top three teams and the top 15 individuals not on one of those three teams will advance to next week’s State Tournament in Bowling Green.
