The Christian County Colonels had an extra day to prepare for the Murray Tigers this week and they needed it as they will face one of the top passers in Class 2-A Saturday night at the Stadium of Champions.
Quarterback Wyatt Robbins has thrown for more than 1-thousand yards through the first four games. His favorite target is Isaiah Martin, who has caught 20 passes for 374 yards and five touchdowns.
Simon Rickman leads the Murray ground game with 234 yards rushing on 25 attempts.
To slow down a Tigers’ offense that is averaging 34.2 points per game, Christian County coach Ethan Atchley said his team must play a complete game.
The Colonels enter the game 0-3 on the season. Murray is 3-1.
The two teams have split their last two meetings with Murray winning in 2021 and Christian County coming out on top in 2022.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Airtime is at 6:30 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm.
