A Madisonville man has been charged with child abuse following investigation in the welfare of children on South Kentucky Avenue in Madisonville.
According to the report from Madisonville police, investigation determined that a one-year-old child in the home in the 600 South Kentucky Avenue had severe bruising to their back, buttocks, side and stomach. There were also bruises consistent with the child being grabbed severely.
Also reportedly discovered were bruising and bite marks to the arm of a five-year-old in the home. Thirty-one-year old Eric King of Madisonville allegedly admitted to causing the injuries to the children after drinking approximately 18 shots of alcohol.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse against a child under the age of 12.
