State Representative Jason Petrie, who represents a portion of Christian County and all of Todd and Logan counties, has once again been awarded a Kentucky Chamber of Commerce MVP Award.
According to a news release, recipients of the Kentucky Chamber MVP Award are selected from a group of legislators who ‘went to bat’ for Kentucky business during the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly, taking actions to strengthen business, improve competitiveness and ensure growth.
As chair of the House Appropriations and Revenue Committee, Rep. Petrie played an influential role in the passing of Kentucky’s two-year state budget during the 2024 session of the General Assembly. In addition to child care funding, the budget also invested in key areas of education, workforce, and economic development.
Recipients of the MVP Award went out of their way, and at times across party lines, to support or oppose an issue critical to the business climate in Kentucky.
