Saints compete at Calloway County run

The Saints Peter and Paul elementary school girls’ cross country team took fifth place in the Calloway County Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Murray.

Olive Burley’s sixth-place finish in 7:33.50 led the way for the Saints. Karleigh Walker was 29th in 8:46 and Serenity Anderson was 33rd in 8:53.20.

Others competing for the Saints included Jaae Oni Hopkins (35, 9:00), Bex Phillips (45, 9:17.40), Valentinia Onate (50, 9:30), Kaeline Adams (59, 10:12.20), Kennedy Walker (60, 10:15.60), Harley Bush (64, 10:25.60) and Amelia Casey (68, 10:49).

In the boys; elementary school division, Saints Peter and Paul took seventh place race led by Patrick Hogan’s 43rd-place finish. He finished in 9:00.50.

Others running for the Saints included Finnigan Roberts (51, 9:30.30), Isaias Onate (52, 9:35.90), Beau Burroughs (60, 10:44.30), Colton Mabry (61, 10:45.70), Cash Burroughs (63, 11:03.40), and Jackson Mabry (69, 12:11.60).

In the middle school race, Kannon Hurt led the Saints by taking 32nd in 13:20.80. Caleb Phillips (62, 16:24.60) and Jonas McFadden (68, 17:23.80) also ran for Saints Peter and Paul.

Korie Hurt paced the Saints in the girls’ middle school race by finishing sixth in 13:43.07.
