City of Hopkinsville looking for community input on new City Logo

The City of Hopkinsville is looking to create a new city logo—and they’re looking for the community’s input.

A news release states that a strong and recognizable logo is essential for building a cohesive and vibrant brand that embodies the community’s values and identity. The logo the community designs will be prominently featured across all platforms to promote the city and foster a sense of unity amongst residents.

This logo will not replace the City seal, which will continue to be used for official city business—the logo will be for strictly marketing purposes.

If you or someone you know is a graphic designer and what to get in on the action, email Public Information Officer Amanda Brunt at Amanda.Brunt@h-ky.us, and make sure to include three to four examples of your work.

The plan is to survey the community in August, then secure a local graphic designer to create some options in September, when a selection committee will collaborate with the designer to finalize a logo. Then in November, it will be put to a vote where the community will have the final say and then in December, the new logo will be unveiled.
