Three local high school boys’ golf teams were in action Thursday at the Trigg County Invitational at Boots Randolph Golf Course in Cadiz.
University Heights Academy took seventh place with a team score of 346.
Cal Givens led the way for the Blazers with a 79. Courtland Gibson had an 86, followed by Jackson Flynn with a 90. Bryson Turner and Jackson Crick had 91 and 113, respectively.
Hopkinsville took 10th in the event. Wade Foster led the Tigers with an 80. Ryan Martin had a 92 and Matt Baker followed with a 95. Sam Riggs and Henry Riggs had a 103 and 106, respectively as the Tigers scored a 370.
Christian County finished 12th with a team score of 382.
Drew Fincham had an 85 to power the Colonels. Tay Martinez finished with a 92 and Peyton Hilton had a 102. Aiden Lewis and Jaedon McMillan had a 103 and 119, respectively.
The teams are back in action Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
McCracken County won the Trigg tournament with a 299, followed by Madisonville-North Hopkins with a 303 and South Warren at 308.
Owensboro Senior’s Nolan Warren won the individual medalist honor with an even-par 71.
