University Heights Academy’s girls’ soccer team rebounded from an early setback to claim two of three matches over the weekend at the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington.
UHA dropped its first game 4-1 to Simon Kenton. Kendall Hancock had the lone goal for the Lady Blazers.
Hancock was back in the scoring column again in the second game, recording two goals as UHA blanked Connor 2-0.
In the final game of the weekend, UHA defeated Central Hardin Columbia 2-1. Gracie Ausenbaugh had a goal on an assist from Alyssa Grise. Hancock added another goal for the Lady Blazers.
UHA will open the regular season Aug. 12 at home against Greenwood.
