Police arrest Elkton woman for endangerment after reported shooting

Hopkinsville Police arrested 40-year-old Kimberly Harrell of Elkton for wanton endangerment after she reportedly fired a gun toward a person’s house following an altercation on Saturday.

According to a report from police, a man who reportedly threw cans of food at Harrell’s car resulting in damages to the car’s windshield. Following the incident, Harrell later fired a gun from her car at the man’s apartment, no injuries were reported.

Harrell reportedly handed the gun off to someone who then handed it off to law enforcement when asked about it. Since the gun was fired from Harrell’s car, officers searched her vehicle and reportedly found a bag containing a blue and white substance that was rock-like and also in a powder form.

Harrell was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking in a controlled substance, having no vehicle registration plates and not having a prescription controlled substance in a proper container.
